A rainy Sunday and an insatiable hunger meant
a big feed was needed and Sourdough Espresso delivered. Offering gourmet
burgers with a drink and chips for only $12, all of the other characteristics
are sort of irrelevant to me but I’m going to talk about them anyway.
Staff were pretty nice but not overbearing
or over the top in how they talked. Wait time was about 10 minutes which is
quite high for a takeaway joint but the burgers are made to order and a lot of
components go into each individual burger. Other options available include
salads, gourmet sandwiches, desserts and quiches so there are plenty of options
for each customer.
Decor was quite nice as well for a restaurant that offers takeaway. Other food displayed looked delicious and the deals promoted on the TV screens at the back added to the place visually.
I ordered the Aussie Burger deal which included a wagyu beef patty, tomato, lettuce, cheese, beetroot egg with tomato relish and aioli on a brioche bun. It was completely what I wanted and all the flavours complemented each other well. Chips as well were hot and salted perfectly and were a great partner to the burger
